Major League Hacking (MLH) is looking for someone to join our team in India as an Logistics Specialist. As part of our Logistics team you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics of our 250+ world class events.


Every year, MLH helps hundreds of community leaders around the world organize events for technologists and innovators.  Our full-time team provides everything these local event organizers need from the first day of planning through the successful end of the event.  As an Operations Specialist, you’ll make sure events get the people and resources they need, that hackers get support where necessary, and that our team has the resources they need to be successful.


You'll work with our global team to fulfill events across the world.


If you’re someone who likes a todo list with a ton of different responsibilities, and loves seeing it complete at the end of the day, this is the role for you.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fulfill events. Each event we facilitate is provided a selection of stickers, swag, prizes, banners, hardware, and even a person to help staff the event. You’ll be responsible for working with our vendors and partners to make sure events receive everything and everyone is kept in the loop. You'll also be expected to pack and ship select items in country.

  • Solve problems. When you work with hundreds of events things are bound to go wrong, packages get stuck at customs, flights get delayed, you’ll be responsible for monitoring each event and solving problems as they occur.

  • Regular maintenance & administration. Each week, we need to checkin on all of our events and event supplies make fixes to inventory and report issues. You’ll check in on reports coming from events and make changes as required.

  • Manage reporting metrics. Each week, you'll review what happened at events, compiling metrics that we then report to the team and our sponsors.

Job requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar operations role

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Process driven and detail oriented personality

  • Exceptional organizational ability

  • Ability to maintain timelines

  • Willingness to maintain 3-4hrs of US timezone overlap (7:30pm - 10:30pm IST)
