Admissions Manager, MLH Fellowship
Major League Hacking (MLH) is rethinking technical education for the modern world. Now that every company is a technology company, we need faster and more effective ways to train the talent that everyone depends on. Our unique hands-on, community-driven approach has helped more than 500,000 technologists worldwide launch their careers and stay up-to-date with the latest trends. If you're passionate about technology, education, and the future of work – this this the place for you!
The MLH Fellowship is an educational internship alternative, where MLH Fellows have the opportunity to collaborate on software with mentorship of professional software engineers. We truly believe that this program can change the face of technology education and hiring, helping computer science students learn the skills that they’re not getting in the classroom, but are necessary to join the workforce.
As our first Admission Manager, you will be responsible for helping us surface incredible talent to join the program and help connect them with jobs after they graduate. You'll lead a team of more than 30 interviewers who were responsible for evaluating more than 30,000 applications for the program last year. You'll oversee everything from the moment an aspiring software engineer applies to the program all the way through their admissions decision, making sure it's a world-class experience at every touch point. This is a role for someone who is a clear communicator, highly organized, and enjoy figuring things out.
You'll be based in our New York City office (presently remote) and will report directly to the company's CEO & Co-Founder.
